When commission becomes real money

RecoEarn separates tracked activity from approved, withdrawable commission. This policy explains each stage so members can see exactly what a balance means.

Last updated: 8 September 2026

1. Commission states

  • Tracked: activity has been attributed to a RecoEarn referral but may not yet qualify for commission.
  • Pending: the upstream advertiser or network is validating the transaction. Pending commission is not withdrawable.
  • Available: the qualifying transaction has been approved and the member share is included in the withdrawable balance.
  • Reserved: an amount has been deducted from available balance because a payout request is being processed.
  • Paid: the payout has been completed by the relevant payment process.
  • Reversed: commission has been rejected, cancelled, refunded, found ineligible or otherwise reversed under the offer rules.

2. How the member reward is calculated

Each offer may show a fixed reward, percentage, variable reward or other clearly described member share. RecoEarn's gross affiliate commission and the member reward are separate amounts. RecoEarn may retain the difference as its platform margin.

If an upstream network later adjusts the approved commission because of a partial refund, validation change or programme correction, RecoEarn may make the corresponding proportionate adjustment to the member reward.

3. Current payout threshold

The current minimum payout request is £20 of available commission. RecoEarn may change the threshold before live launch or where a payment provider requires it, but any material change will be stated clearly before a new payout request is submitted.

4. Verification before payment

  • RecoEarn or its payment provider may require identity, age, address, bank-account or tax information where needed for fraud prevention, legal compliance or payment processing.
  • A payout can be paused while required verification is incomplete or while the underlying traffic or transaction is subject to a genuine compliance review.
  • RecoEarn will not ask members to send online-banking passwords or full card credentials through ordinary support messages.

5. Reversals and negative adjustments

A commission may be reversed if the advertiser or network rejects the underlying transaction, including for refunds, cancellations, duplicates, invalid leads, prohibited traffic, fraud or breach of programme terms. Where a reversal arrives after a related amount has already been paid, RecoEarn may offset the genuine adjustment against future commission where legally permitted rather than manufacturing a new charge unrelated to the original transaction.

6. Timing and payment methods

Payout timing depends on advertiser validation, affiliate-network settlement and the payment provider used by RecoEarn. RecoEarn will not advertise pending commission as instantly withdrawable money. The live payment method, expected processing time and any member-facing fee will be shown before automated payouts are enabled.

7. Tax

Member rewards may be taxable income depending on the member's circumstances and jurisdiction. Members are responsible for obtaining their own tax advice and reporting income where required. RecoEarn may collect or report tax information where a legal duty applies.

8. Disputes

If a member believes a conversion or payout status is incorrect, RecoEarn may request the referral link, date, source and other evidence needed to investigate. An upstream advertiser or network's final validation can affect whether affiliate commission exists, but RecoEarn will review its own attribution and calculations rather than automatically dismissing a genuine discrepancy.
