Cookies & Similar Storage
RecoEarn uses browser and server-side technologies needed to keep accounts signed in, secure the service and attribute referral activity. This page explains how non-essential tracking will be handled if it is introduced.

1. What we mean by cookies and similar storage
Cookies are small pieces of information stored on or read from a device. Similar technologies can include local storage, session storage and other identifiers used by websites and apps. UK rules can apply to these technologies even where the information is not directly identifying on its own.
2. Essential technology
RecoEarn may use strictly necessary browser storage or cookies to provide authentication, security, fraud prevention, session continuity and features specifically requested by a user. These technologies are necessary for the service to work and may not require prior consent where the applicable exemption is met.
- Authentication/session state so a signed-in member can securely use the dashboard.
- Security state needed to protect account sessions and prevent abuse.
- Preferences that are genuinely necessary to provide a feature the user requested.
3. Referral tracking
RecoEarn records referral-link clicks on its servers so the platform can count activity and resolve the correct outbound affiliate destination. When you leave RecoEarn and visit an advertiser or affiliate-network destination, that third party may use its own cookies or tracking technologies under its own privacy and cookie information.
4. Analytics, advertising and other non-essential technologies
RecoEarn will not intentionally place non-essential analytics, behavioural advertising or similar device-tracking technologies before obtaining the consent required by UK privacy rules. If these technologies are introduced, the site will provide a clear choice before they are enabled and a way to change that choice later.
5. Controlling storage
Browser settings can usually remove or block cookies and local storage. Blocking essential storage may prevent sign-in or other requested features from working correctly. Where RecoEarn provides a cookie-preference control, that control should be used for non-essential technologies rather than relying only on browser settings.
6. Changes to this policy
This policy will be updated when RecoEarn adds a new analytics, advertising, consent-management or affiliate technology that materially changes what is stored on or read from a user's device.
